Batch No.1&#38;nbsp;Rock Description=&#38;nbsp;Upon collection the rocks are purple hued, with a dark grey burgundy undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-like qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.
Preliminary Fire Temperature= 999 C

Mill Time= 7 hours

Water Weight= 1250.00g

Particulate Weight= 342.00g

Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker. Reserved the larger particulate, significant remainder left, in pebble form due to the particulate’s high density.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing particulate’s moderate iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface and appears to have altered the rock to the core. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. Slip is a bright salmon pink, settles fast and sticks to the bottom of the container. Much agitation needed to regain workability.

^5 Fire Results= Retained the same pigment as present in slip form, this deep pink hue thickly dusts the surface and remains embedded into the surface of the ceramic.

^10 Fire Results= The colour shifted, and paled, to a light brown hue leaving the pink entirely. From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is moderate.

^5 Surface Description= Despite the particulates integration into the ceramic surface the particulate remains without signs of vitrification.

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature, the surface remains dry and lacking vitrification. Although appearing significantly nearer to a vitrified temperature, the surface remains permeable.

	ID 1:
[The surface remains unstable, rippling like foam on water or milk and its fat. The particulate is a deep pink with minimal saturation. At the edges of the tiles, the particulate is pulled back by the way it absorbed the water content during the application–revealing raw mottled edges of ceramic. Towards the upper righthand corner of the square tile, the surface is coated heavier with the particulate.]

Rough and granulate, the particulate shrunk into a beaded surface. On the square ceramic tile, the surface is a dark brown and behind is a subtle sand colour. On the left-hand lower corner there is a circle where air pocketed during the particulate’s application onto the surface.]

Batch No.2&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are a warm grey, with a green undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-like qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 999 C

Mill Time= 8 hours

Water Weight= 1250.00g

Particulate Weight= 231.00g

Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a
significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate’s moderate iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface and appears to have altered the rock to the core. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. The slip is a red-brown, and the particulate settles rapidly, and so, requiring agitation to maintain consistency in application and regain workability. The water that settles on the surface takes on a significant amount of the impurities, meaning, the water is yellowed by the specific impurities in the particulate.
^5 Fire Results= The particulate is a darkly muted pink colour. Evidence of the way the particulate pooled upon absorption is retained.

^10 Fire Results= The colour shifted, and paled, to a yellow-brown hue leaving the muted pink entirely. From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion high is which also caused the purge to the raised surfaces.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature, despite seeing the particulates integration into the ceramic surface, the particulate remains without signs of vitrification and pools only slightly.

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature the particulate is vitrified, and the former pools have fired out into black grains/distinct particulates from the remainder of the glossy surface.
	ID 3:
[The surface is stable but its porosity is intact. On the surface, the particulate is hazed over the entirety of the ceramic tile. Throughout the square tile, the dulled mauve colour presents itself, remaining chalky and penetrable; the particulate is irregular in a manner that is pictorially atmospheric.]
&#60;img width="1500" height="1500" width_o="1500" height_o="1500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/8ed5118958728063d826fa206d408cf5f9a9a86ab909156a3c89bf2de441dfe8/A3BE4903-A35A-42F0-8294-FDF1657008B2.png" data-mid="160398915" border="0" data-scale="50" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/8ed5118958728063d826fa206d408cf5f9a9a86ab909156a3c89bf2de441dfe8/A3BE4903-A35A-42F0-8294-FDF1657008B2.png" /&#62;ID 4:
[The vitrified surface is high-shine. On the lower hemisphere, there are two twinned circles where air pocketed during the particulate’s application onto the surface. Batch No.3&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are light grey, with a yellow undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-like qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 999 C

Mill Time= 9 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 503.00g
Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate’s slight iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface. The impurities now at this stage, are presenting uniformly void of visible signs of iron. The slip is a brown-salmon colour. Particle film appears and reappears on the surface of the water once it settles slowly, even following several 100 mesh sieving.
^5 Fire Results= From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is low due to the dry and slightly crazed surface.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature, despite seeing the particulates integration into the ceramic surface, the particulate remains without any signs of vitrification or significant change.

	ID 5:
[The surface remains unstable. Preserved from the drying process, the fine-line-cracks in the surface occurring during the particulate application separates from itself. Consistent throughout, the surface is an ivory colour that blocks the ceramic surface from appearing on the square tile. Batch No.4&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are a shale-like, grey, with a green undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-like qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 999 C

Mill Time= 3 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 341.00g
Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate turned to powder without much force—becoming, turning into, rubble shortly and quickly—and presented moderate iron content surfaced into warm dust on surface. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. The slip is a dark grey, and the particulate settles rapidly, sticking to the bottom of the container, and so, requiring agitation to maintain consistency in application and regain workability.
^5 Fire Results= There is a minor development of the colour to the particulate, changing during the preliminary fire, into a more warm-hued brown colour with a deeper saturation.

^10 Fire Results= From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is moderate-to-high.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature, despite seeing the particulates integration into the ceramic surface, the particulate remains without any signs of vitrification or significant change

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature, the role of silica’s proportion is evident—playing the role of glass in the high gloss finish to the pooled areas on the surface.

Batch No.5&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are purple hued, with a brown undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-rich qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 1060 C

Mill Time= 7 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 278.00g
Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate’s slight but evident iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. This dark-eggshell beige slip does not settle fast, nor does it hug to the bottom of the container. Little agitation needed to regain workability from the slight settling that occurs.
^5 Fire Results= From these results, the change in tonal quality and colour is evident in the dual tones of pink and yellow. Distinct from the other, where the particulate pooled heavier, the colours yellow and pink have an iridescent quality to them.

^10 Fire Results= From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is moderate-to-high.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature, despite seeing the particulates integration into the ceramic surface, the particulate remains without any signs of vitrification although there is a significant development of surface quality at this temperature.

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature too, the silica proportion is clear, causing a monumental glass quality to the surface. The colour’s saturation now waned, but is still holding onto a subtle warm undertone.

Batch No.6&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are green-grey, with a blue undertone. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 1060 C

Mill Time= 8 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 239.00g

Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate’s moderate iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface and appears to have altered the rock to the core. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. The slip is a light brown colour, and the particulate settles quickly, requiring agitation to maintain consistency in application and regain workability. Particle film appears and reappears on the surface of the water once it settles, even following several 100 mesh sieving.
^5 Fire Results= Herein it is evident that the silica proportion is moderate. Already beginning to soften, turn into a glossier finish and with some novel transparency.

^10 Fire Results= From the results, the silica proportion reveals an increased transparency, now showing the underneath ceramic tile which it is affixed to at this final firing.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature, the yellow colour is vibrant and consistent.

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature, colours fade into a more neutral tone of brown. There is a slight orange halo around the edges from the particulate melting to the degree it did in this firing—pooling towards the centre.

	ID 10:
[The surface is stable but its porosity is intact. While the particulate is edging on vitrification, the surface is a soft matte texture that translates as such in the picture plane. Batch No.8&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Upon collection the rocks are burgundy, with brown undertones. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks, presenting with iron-rich qualities. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.

Preliminary Fire Temperature= 955 C

Mill Time= 5 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 247.00g
Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate’s moderate iron content surfaced into warm dust on the surface. The impurities at this stage, are presenting uniformly as iron-rich. The slip is a dark red-brown, and the particulate settles rapidly, sticking to the bottom of the container, and so, requiring much agitation to maintain consistency in application and regain workability. The water that settles on the surface takes on a significant amount of the impurities, meaning, the water is browned by the specific impurities in the particulate.

^5 Fire Results= No signs of a significant silica proportion is reportable at this firing.

^10 Fire Results=&#38;nbsp; From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is minimal. Meaning the surface is, however integrated into the tile, considerably dry and has not shown any signs of reaching a melting point.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature the colour of the dry particulate is a warm purple-brown.

		<description>
Batch No.9&#38;nbsp;Rock Description= Light in weight, chalky, and powdered. Upon collection the rocks are white, with no noticeable undertone or colorant. Undetermined impurities colour the rocks. Sedimentary rock with an undetermined rock sub-category.
Preliminary Fire Temperature= 955 C

Mill Time= 3 hours

Water Weight= 750.00g

Particulate Weight= 580.00g

Post-mill Protocol= 100 mesh, after sieve removed a significant amount of water leaving the slip thicker.

Material Behaviours= Following the ^06 preliminary firing, the particulate turned to powder without much force—becoming, turning into, rubble shortly and quickly. The slip is an off grey-white, and the particulate seldom settles in any significant way. Very little agitation needed to regain workability and the slip remains always inspissated.
^5 Fire Results= There is spontaneous and significant crawling that has occurred in this firing. The manner in which this crawling of the dry particulate presents on the surface is harsh, angular, and lifting dramatically from the tile.

^10 Fire Results= From the results, an estimation of the silica proportion is moderate. Changing from dry to glassy between the temperatures, the particulate now presents with a pinholed surface.

^5 Surface Description= At this temperature the surface is irregularly coloured in varying shades of brown. From eggshell to charred, the colour scale is erratic and foggy throughout the crawled tile.

^10 Surface Description= At this high temperature, the colour fades to a light brown and the strong ice-white appears where the particulate pools. This faint blue colour is spontaneous and does not appear at any other stage of the processing.

	ID 15:
[The surface is stable, and its porosity is intact, but the particulate appears to be unmoored and crawls. This robust crazing occurs throughout the gradient from ivory to a deep brown colour on the ceramic square tile. There is no pattern to the angular crawl and it occurs spontaneously but within a tight action; each free-standing craze nodule is the same relative size as the next. The surface translates on the picture plane the raised quality of the particulate, lifting up from the below ceramic material enough to catch a tracing finger or another passing object.]&#60;img width="1500" height="1500" width_o="1500" height_o="1500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/4c59eea66274949d77d2af7ed0bb498e0501e688919ade14ba15448be2c02e7c/E7B34C9F-DA67-4D9B-9FF7-25BA1E734A61.png" data-mid="160404751" border="0" data-scale="50" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/4c59eea66274949d77d2af7ed0bb498e0501e688919ade14ba15448be2c02e7c/E7B34C9F-DA67-4D9B-9FF7-25BA1E734A61.png" /&#62;ID 16:[The vitrified particulate pools across the square sand and ivory tile’s surface. Where the particulate is thin, the granularity is gray, brown, and sand, and where the particulate is thick it is a coagulated ice-gray. In the foreground, the semi-matte surface gestures to itself subtly across the tile, and in finely dunted piles the particulate creates a surface that is distinct in texture, colour, and finish. In the background, the particulate appears as the hull of a wheat does, with a tan colour smattered throughout.]&#60;img width="1500" height="1500" width_o="1500" height_o="1500" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0b1a3d454739e5d9c48adc8bf45010f41db1cfbeeb6a26e03446c1df0046ecc7/439FBBA6-7BE9-413A-8C2C-954D1E1E16FE.png" data-mid="160404809" border="0" data-scale="50" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0b1a3d454739e5d9c48adc8bf45010f41db1cfbeeb6a26e03446c1df0046ecc7/439FBBA6-7BE9-413A-8C2C-954D1E1E16FE.png" /&#62;
